Forgettable

It is about time I cranked out another Harry Potter post. I was thinking something along the lines of Book Six and interesting. This shouldn't be a hard task, but it is quickly becoming difficult. The more I think about what to write, the more I realize that I don't remember Book Six. Wait a minute, didn't I just read it last month?

As much as I hate to admit it, my hind site indicates that The Half-Blood Prince was less interesting than I previously believed. Oh yes, there is a lot to say about Snape, but I've already had my words on that subject. Draco became a bit more interesting, but there isn't exactly a lot for me to say in that respect. Then there is always the "Is Harry a horcurx" question, but other authors have pondered that to exhaustion.

What it comes down to is that I need to read Book Six again. I know there was more to it than I am remembering at the moment. For instance, Harry went through some major changes that are worth exploring and I'm worried about the choices he has made. I have some time off for the next month so I'm just going to sit down with the book and ponder a few things. Hopefully some grand concept will pop into my mind. Until then, feel free to suggest any topics you wish.

Maybe I could also take this opportunity to write more carefully. It's not quite enough for me to write down ideas, I want to write well. (Yes, I'm brooding after discovering that there are those don't think I write well. I guess the bad grammar doesn't really help matters.)

I'm still alive

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been in Superfan girl mode Stargate style. :)

Lots of great comments on the Harry beign a horcrux thing. I have to agree that there are many problems with the idea, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Rowling chooses that approach. However things go down, it should come back to the room in the Department of Mysteries where love is kept. Remember, first and foremost, Harry must defeat Voldemort with love. Yes, even sacrificial love.

While I keep buying time from writing posts, it's time for a new topic:

In your opinion, what is the most important theme in the Harry Potter books?

DISCUSSION TIME:

Hey, I still don't have time for a post. I thought that we could all have a discussion in the comments section on the following topic: Is Harry a Horcrux?

I'll write up something on this later, but I'm interested to hear what you all think?

Serenity Trailers

Next month Serenity will finally hit theaters. I had the good fortune to see it back in May and I'm still anxious for its realease. Why? Because the movie is awesome. Seriously, before the film hits theaters do yourself a favor and go buy the FireFly DVD set. Catch up on all the back story and then go see the marvel that is Serenity.

Check out this shiny trailer for the movie.

GLARING ERROR OR EVIDENCE?

My friend Jess brought it to my attention that there is either a glaring error in the book or an obvious clue. I'm afraid to say that I wouldn't be surprised it is an error, but it would be interesting if it is not. I remember thinking about it when I first read it and then decided I must be mistaken, but now that Jess has pointed it out I have to address it.

Snape walks in at the end of the prophecy in Book Six. So why in Book Five does Dumbledore say that the person who heard the prophecy only heard the beginning.

I don't have the books infront of me to double check. I'm sure you'll let me know if this wrong.

So yeah. I have finals right now so I really can't do a full post on this. IF, and that is a big IF, it is not a mistake it could be more evidence for why Dumbledore trusts Snape. Although this theory does have its issues as well.

I keep thinking back to the wand fiasco in Book Four when Harry's dad came out before Lily. It would have meant a lot, had it not been a mistake.

AIM

Not for the first time, someone tried to contact me on AIM when I wasn't around. I just want to make it clear that I do enjoy getting IM's, I'm just often not around to recieve them. My computer stays on and I forget to set my AIM to away.

Just a silly FYI since I have no time to do a real post today.
